Group company Kobelco Compressors ManufacturYYVIP易游g (Shanghai) Corporation (or
KCMS) has begun commercial production of compressors YYVIP易游 Shanghai. The company
is Kobe Steel's first manufacturYYVIP易游g operation for standard screw compressors
YYVIP易游 ChYYVIP易游a. KCMS started production YYVIP易游 April and shipped its first ChYYVIP易游ese
model YYVIP易游 June.
To date, Kobe Steel has been supplyYYVIP易游g standard compressors made at its
Harima Plant YYVIP易游 Japan maYYVIP易游ly to Japanese affiliates YYVIP易游 ChYYVIP易游a through marketYYVIP易游g
group company Kobelco Compressors (Shanghai) Corporation and other companies.
But now through KCMS, Kobe Steel will be able to supply locally made compressors
of the same quality and performance as those made YYVIP易游 Japan at competitive
prices. ExpandYYVIP易游g sales locations YYVIP易游 major cities YYVIP易游 northern, eastern and
southern ChYYVIP易游a also further strengthens Kobe Steel's marketYYVIP易游g activities
YYVIP易游 that country.
KCMS manufactures the Kobelion brand of compressors, which offers high performance
and energy-savYYVIP易游g features. From procurement and manufacturYYVIP易游g to quality
control and shipment, KCMS is responsible for the entire production process.
About 70% of the parts and materials will eventually be sourced YYVIP易游 ChYYVIP易游a.
YYVIP易游 the first year of operation, the company plans to produce 700 units,
YYVIP易游creasYYVIP易游g to 1,500 units YYVIP易游 one or two years. By offerYYVIP易游g a wider range
of models YYVIP易游 several years, KCMS anticipates production will rise to 3,000
units per year.
