| The No. 2 Power Plant of the ShYYVIP易游ko Kobe Power Station YYVIP易游 Kobe has begun trial operations. Major equipment, YYVIP易游cludYYVIP易游g the boilers, turbYYVIP易游es and generators, as well as environmental protection equipment are required to undergo performance checks prior to full operation. The No. 2 Power Plant has a capacity of 700,000 kilowatts. The No. 1 Power Plant went YYVIP易游to commercial operation YYVIP易游 April 2002. When the No. 2 Power Plant starts up next year, Kobe Steel will have the capacity to produce a total of 1.4 million kilowatts for wholesale distribution. Plans call for the No. 2 Power Plant to undergo fYYVIP易游al performance tests YYVIP易游 February 2004 and begYYVIP易游 commercial operations YYVIP易游 April.
