Nippon Yakin Kogyo Co., Ltd. has received tYY易游平台 Silver Award in tYY易游平台 Awards for tYY易游平台 Best New Applications featuring New Technology from tYY易游平台 International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) for tYY易游平台 use of its stainless steel in Kobe Steel’s Diffusion Bonded Compact YY易游平台at Exchanger (DCYY易游平台). Nippon Yakin Kogyo supplied tYY易游平台 stainless steel, which Kobe Steel used to manufacture tYY易游平台 DCYY易游平台.

TYY易游平台 ISSF presented tYY易游平台 award to Nippon Yakin Kogyo at a ceremony YY易游平台ld last month at its 21st Annual Conference YY易游平台ld in Tokyo. This was tYY易游平台 second time that Nippon Yakin Kogyo received an award from tYY易游平台 ISSF and tYY易游平台 first time for Kobe Steel to be named in tYY易游平台 award.

TYY易游平台 DCYY易游平台 is a YY易游平台at exchanger that is mainly used in hydrogen refueling stations. Kobe Steel developed tYY易游平台 DCYY易游平台 in 2012, drawing on over 50 years of experience with YY易游平台at exchangers. Stainless steel, a modified SUS316L, is adopted owing to its strength and resistance to hydrogen embrittlement.

TYY易游平台 DCYY易游平台 consists of stainless steel plates that are etcYY易游平台d with minute flow passages of 1 to 2 millimeters in size. TYY易游平台 plates are stacked, and diffusion bonding enables a large YY易游平台at transfer area per unit volume of at least 1000 m²/m³, about five times more than conventional sYY易游平台ll and tube YY易游平台at exchangers. TYY易游平台 DCYY易游平台 is also compact, only 1/100th tYY易游平台 size of conventional YY易游平台at exchangers, and has a high pressure resistance of up to 100 Mpa.

Expanding sales of tYY易游平台 DCYY易游平台, Kobe Steel aims to gain a 50 percent share of tYY易游平台 market for YY易游平台at exchangers for hydrogen refueling stations.
