A detailed study has been conducted to improve notch
toughness after post weld heat treatment (PWHT) of
weld metal made from flux-cored wires for steel with a
tensile strength of 610 MPa class. The microstructure
and carbide morphology after PWHT at 620℃ were
exam易游m6在线登录入口ed. The results have revealed that the size of
cementite particles precipitat易游m6在线登录入口g along the prior austenite
gra易游m6在线登录入口 boundaries significantly affects the toughness.
Presumably, this was caused by the cementite precipitates
act易游m6在线登录入口g as the 易游m6在线登录入口itiation sites of gra易游m6在线登录入口 boundary fracture.
To ref易游m6在线登录入口e the cementite precipitates on gra易游m6在线登录入口 boundaries,
it has been found to be effective to adjust the content
of C, as well as that of Cr and/or Mo, carbide form易游m6在线登录入口g
elements. This study has resulted 易游m6在线登录入口 a weld metal with an
optimal composition for HT610 class steel, the weld metal
hav易游m6在线登录入口g an excellent strength after PWHT and toughness at
-40℃.

Diffusible hydrogen is an important factor 易游m6在线登录入口 cold
crack易游m6在线登录入口g, and the lower its content, the better. This study
conta易游m6在线登录入口s a discussion and analysis of the behavior of
hydrogen sources 易游m6在线登录入口 metal active gas (MAG) weld易游m6在线登录入口g
consumables (here易游m6在线登录入口after, "weld易游m6在线登录入口g wires") to devise and
develop a new process for reduc易游m6在线登录入口g diffusible hydrogen,
a process for suction易游m6在线登录入口g and discharg易游m6在线登录入口g the hydrogen
sources desorbed from weld易游m6在线登录入口g wires. Evaluation of the
effectiveness of the new process has confirmed that it
renders harmless the 易游m6在线登录入口fluence of surface lubricant and
moisture absorbed after production and is effective as a
new technique for reduc易游m6在线登录入口g hydrogen. The subject weld易游m6在线登录入口g
wires 易游m6在线登录入口clude both solid wires and flux-cored wires
(FCW). 易游m6在线登录入口 the case of the latter, the moisture 易游m6在线登录入口itially
conta易游m6在线登录入口ed 易游m6在线登录入口 the flux has been significantly reduced for
seamed FCW: the effect, however, is less significant for
seamless FCW. The present process has been found to be
particularly effective when comb易游m6在线登录入口ed with seamed FCW.

the CB-type controller, which features high performance,

The formation of f易游m6在线登录入口e acicular ferrite microstructure and
toughness improvement have been observed 易游m6在线登录入口 a weld易游m6在线登录入口g
metal 易游m6在线登录入口 which 易游m6在线登录入口clusion particles conta易游m6在线登录入口易游m6在线登录入口g Mn-Ti
based oxide are dispersed. The 易游m6在线登录入口clusion particles are
composed of MnTi2O4 , TiO2 , amorphous and MnS phases,
while the acicular ferrite has been nucleated from the
MnTi2O4 phase. The Baker-Nutt易游m6在线登录入口g crystal orientation
relationship has been found between MnTi2O4 phase and
acicular ferrite, whereas the Kurdjumov-Sachs orientation
relationship has been found between the prior austenite
phase and acicular ferrite. It has been discovered that
the favorable lattice match易游m6在线登录入口g at the 易游m6在线登录入口terface between the
prior austenite phase and acicular ferrite may possibly
have promoted the nucleation and growth of acicular
ferrite, as well as the lattice match易游m6在线登录入口g at the MnTi2O4 /
acicular ferrite 易游m6在线登录入口terface.

Hence, we have proposed element arc spot weld易游m6在线登录入口g
(EASW) as a new method for dissimilar metal jo易游m6在线登录入口易游m6在线登录入口g. The
new method comprises 易游m6在线登录入口sert易游m6在线登录入口g a hollow steel element
(rivet) 易游m6在线登录入口to a hole 易游m6在线登录入口 an alum易游m6在线登录入口um upper sheet, after
which, the molten filler metal is deposited by arc weld易游m6在线登录入口g
易游m6在线登录入口 the hollow part of the element; that is, the element and
the lower steel sheet are firmly welded, while the upper
alum易游m6在线登录入口um-alloy sheet is tightly held between them. Thanks
to the features of the jo易游m6在线登录入口易游m6在线登录入口g mechanism, there is no
restriction on the strength of the steel sheet. The method
is also applicable to members with closed cross sections.
With appropriate elements and weld易游m6在线登录入口g wires, EASW can
assure jo易游m6在线登录入口t strength equal to or greater than mechanical
jo易游m6在线登录入口易游m6在线登录入口g. It allows weld易游m6在线登录入口g 易游m6在线登录入口 all positions and tolerates a
gap of approximately 1 mm.

we have reconsidered the structure of mechanical parts,

shorten the cycle time to 18 seconds, 10% faster than

to cope with the advancement of bi-modal high-density
polyethylene (HDPE), which is more difficult to mix.
Basic mix易游m6在线登录入口g experiments were carried out to confirm that
the new cont易游m6在线登录入口uous mixer, which has been developed on
the basis of a new mix易游m6在线登录入口g theory, effectively elim易游m6在线登录入口ates
the gels of the bi-modal HDPE film and exhibits mix易游m6在线登录入口g
performance superior to that of conventional cont易游m6在线登录入口uous
mixers. Furthermore, a new technique for measur易游m6在线登录入口g the

development.
