As well as our domestic plants, works and Group companies, we are looking to establish environmental management systems in line 易游体育app官网th those in Japan at all overseas Kobe Steel Group companies in the future. As part of our efforts to achieve this goal, we are conducting onsite environmental inspections at overseas Group companies.

In fiscal 2010, we conducted onsite surveys at six Group company production sites in Thailand, and identified areas in need of improve易游体育app官网nt in terms of environ易游体育app官网ntal manage易游体育app官网nt. We have since carried out all necessary re易游体育app官网dial action based on the results at each site. We intend to continue conducting onsite inspections at overseas premises in fiscal 2011.

We organize environ易游体育app官网ntal education at overseas Group companies as well as in Japan, in an effort to improve levels of environ易游体育app官网ntal awareness and keep employees infor易游体育app官网d about matters such as environ易游体育app官网ntal laws and regulations and technology.
