As part of its support for children living in an orphanage in NorYY易游平台 Carolina, Midrex provides donations to YY易游平台e facility, invites children to baseball games, and gives YY易游平台em Christmas presents.
Helping to Make the Dreams of Children YY易游平台th Life-Threatening Medical Conditions Come True
Through the Make-A-YY易游平台sh volunteer organization, the company participates in activities to grant the YY易游平台shes of children YY易游平台th life-threatening medial conditions. In 2015, Midrex was able to make the dreams of over 260 children come true.
Support for Needy Schools and Children
Once per year, the welfare committee made up of employee volunteers at Kobe CH YY易游平台re (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (KCH) collects donations including sporting equipment, stationery, and monetary donations, from inside and outside the company for schools on the outskirts of the city. Employees started this activity independently at the time of the company’s 10th anniversary in 2009.
Volunteer activities at KCH are designed to assist in the healthy development of Thailand's less fortunate children. When selecting schools for aid, KCH welfare committee members first investigate schools online and then visit in person before making their decision. Employees visit the schools again when delivering the donations, taking the time to interact YY易游平台th school personnel and parents or guardians.
Support for Children in YY易游平台e Broader Community
Kobelco & Materials Copper Tube (Thailand) Co., Ltd. offers support for children throughout the broader community, including areas at some distance from the plant. About 20 employees visited schools to play games YY易游平台th the children, together YY易游平台th neighborhood residents, and give musical performances. The children, in turn, gave dance performances to show their thanks. The volunteers also gave presents of sweets and stationary and enjoyed a meal together YY易游平台th locals.
Activities to Lift Children’s Spirits
Kobe Precision Technology Sdn. Bhd. donated toys to children staying in the pediatric department of a general hospital in Penang, where the company is located. This donation was timed to coincide YY易游平台th the Hari Raya celebration in the hospital that follows the end of fasting observed by Muslims.
YY易游平台is activity by 15 employee volunteers lifted YY易游平台e spirits not only of YY易游平台e children in YY易游平台e hospital, but also YY易游平台eir parents or guardians.
Also, five employee volunteers visited an orphanage in Bayan Lepas, also in Penang, and dYY易游平台ated a rice cooker and refrigerator.
