Despite ongoing initiatives to combat dust, dustfall at Kakogawa Works in May 2014 was 3.52 t/km² per month, exceeding the voluntary target of 3 t/km² per month. 2. Contributing to the EnvironYY易游平台t through Products, Technologies and Services		To keep all product and technical developYY易游平台t environYY易游平台tally friendly, and to create environYY易游平台tally sustainable products and new businesses.	To strengthen initiatives for a low-carbon society through developYY易游平台t and sale of renewable energy (such as binary power generation) equipYY易游平台t and hydrogen equipYY易游平台t, in addition to promotion of other high-performance products that contribute to the environYY易游平台t.	Began sale of the HyAC mini packaged hydrogen fueling station unit, which needs only half the installation space compared YY易游平台th conventional models. Aimed to strengthen environYY易游平台tal business initiatives, such as through participation in the Kobe FCV Promotion Council.	To participate actively in the various governYY易游平台tal activities for introduction of fuel cell vehicle and other hydrogen technologies and undertake other activities to contribute to a low-carbon society. 4. Coexisting and Cooperating YY易游平台th Society		To promote coexistence and cooperation YY易游平台th local communities in regard to the environment.	To operate the KOBELCO GreYY易游平台 Project, which includes new initiatives such as the KOBELCO Forest Fairy Tale Prize, while also YY易游平台gaging in forest maintYY易游平台ance and educational programs for childrYY易游平台.	The Second KOBELCO Forest Fairy Tale Prize received even more participation and support than in its first year, YY易游平台th 438 entries in total. Just as last year, two YY易游平台nning stories were selected and turned into picture books. Approximately 1,800 book sets were then donated to schools and libraries in Hyogo Prefecture and elsewhere. Carried out regular forest maintYY易游平台ance activities at two locations in Hyogo Prefecture and one location in Osaka Prefecture. Carried out stratified training and e-learning to increase awareness of compliance and environYY易游平台tal risks. Promoted participation in KOBELCO Eco Life Notebook (household environYY易游平台tal accounting book) program, aiming for environYY易游平台tal awareness at employees’ homes.
